Slippers For Mom is a 501c3 non-profit organization whose mission is to give comfort to those in need during the holiday season by providing a cozy pair of slippers.
2022 marks our 10th year donating slippers!
Slippers For Mom was founded in 2013 to honor the memory of Marianne Taylor who passed away from Ovarian Cancer at the young age of 56. We had an annual tradition with our mom... each year we bought her a new pair of slippers for Christmas morning. She always knew which box it was under the tree and opened it first so she could wear her new slippers on Christmas morning. The old ones, while cherished, were retired and the new ones worn with pride. The first year after Mari passed away our family struggled not having anyone to buy a pair of slippers for and thus Slippers For Mom was created.
In 2021, 851 pairs of slippers were donated to 20 organizations in Metro Detroit, Lansing, and Grand Rapids. Since 2013 we've donated 4,172 pairs of slippers!
Your donation of $10 - $20 can purchase a pair of slippers and make someone's winter morning a little cozier.
